So he's sort of old, even for 82, I'll give you that. And a bit eccentric, as most of those super-talented, wildly creative Hollywood types are. But Clint Eastwood walked onstage at the Republican National Convention last week and got people talking, and they still are. Amid all of his entertaining tomfoolery and jokes, which offered a welcome breather from the somber and oh-so-serious tone of the parade of puffed-up politicians preceding him, Clint uttered one sterling truth that resonated throughout the land, no doubt, and I am paraphrasing here: "Our government works for us. If you hire someone and they don't do the job, you gotta let them go."
